Offline Billing Software: Internet Down? Keep Billing.
Bill, print, take payments, close shifts and close the day with zero internet, for as long as it takes. Everything syncs by itself when the internet is back.

Why “works offline” usually isn’t enough
Many POS systems stop when the internet drops. Others allow offline billing for a few days, or can take orders offline but can’t close a check or tally cash until they’re back online. For a busy Indian restaurant, that means queues, handwritten bills and a messy day close.
Dineligent is offline-first. Every device keeps its own complete copy of your data. The cloud is only for backup, reports and keeping devices in step, never for billing.

How sync works, in plain words
- Saved together: every order, payment or KOT is saved on the device together with a note to sync it, in one step. A crash or power cut can’t lose one without the other.
- Up and down: when the internet is available, the device uploads its changes and downloads the menu, prices, staff, settings and online orders.
- Every 30 seconds: sync runs every 30 seconds and right after changes, and retries by itself after a failure.
- No clashes: each device has its own invoice series (C1, C2…), so two counters billing offline never clash.
- No duplicates: record IDs are made on the device, so records created offline never collide.
Always know what’s synced
The top bar always shows one of four states:
- ✔ All changes synced
- ⟳ 12 changes waiting to sync
- ⚠ Offline · 34 changes saved on this device
- ❗ 3 changes need attention
Settings › Sync shows when the device last synced, what’s waiting by type, and a Sync now button. The offline banner appears only after 60 seconds and never blocks the screen: “You’re offline. Billing continues; data will sync later.”
Several counters, one restaurant, no internet needed
Large restaurants run several billing counters, captain phones and kitchen screens. Dineligent links them over your own Wi-Fi or LAN:
- Choose one device, usually the main counter, as the LAN master in the dashboard
- Other devices find it on the network by themselves
- Open orders, tables, KOTs, bill requests, kitchen status and “ready” notices are shared live
- If the master is switched off, the others keep working on their own and catch up when it’s back
- If your network blocks discovery, type the master’s address, such as 192.168.1.20

Your data, safe on every device
Device management
See every device with its role, app version and last-seen time. Rename it, change its role, or revoke a lost tablet so it stops syncing at once.
Daily backups
The Android, iPad/iPhone and Mac apps save a daily backup of the device’s data and keep the last 7. Back up now or export a copy any time. In the browser POS, the cloud keeps the copy.
Nothing lost
The cloud keeps every synced bill, payment and shift. A replacement device gets everything back when you pair it.
Built so data can’t go missing
- Crash-safe local database. A power cut doesn’t lose a bill.
- Synced data is never hard-deleted; deleted records are only marked as deleted.
- Stock, loyalty, credit and audit ledgers can only be added to, never edited.

Offline POS questions
How long can Dineligent work without internet?
There’s no time limit. A device can stay offline for days and keep billing, taking payments and closing shifts and the day.
Can I close the day and print the Z-report offline?
Yes. Shift close, cash tally, day close and the Z-report all work with no internet.
Will two counters billing offline create duplicate invoice numbers?
No. Each device bills from its own invoice series, so numbers stay unique and gapless.
Do several counters need internet to share orders?
No. Counters, captain phones and kitchen screens share orders live over your own Wi-Fi or LAN, with one device as the LAN master.
What happens when the internet comes back?
Each device syncs its changes by itself, every 30 seconds and right after new changes. The top bar shows what’s waiting.
What if a tablet is lost or stops working?
Revoke it from the dashboard so it stops syncing. Pair a new device and it gets everything back from the cloud.
