Dine-in, takeaway and delivery on one billing screen

Dine-in

Tap a table to start. Add guests, a service charge, and send a KOT for each round.

Takeaway

One tap (F2 on desktop). Each order gets a daily token number and a packaging charge. Bill and pay in one step.

Delivery

Customer name, phone and address are captured with the order, along with a delivery charge and delivery prices.

Each channel can have its own price for the same dish, for example ₹240 dine-in and ₹264 delivery. QR and online orders arrive in the same order inbox.

Find and add items in seconds

On a counter or tablet, categories run down the left, items sit in the middle and the cart is on the right. On a phone, the menu fills the screen with a floating cart bar.

  • Category rail shows each category’s item count and a badge for items already in the cart
  • Item tiles show the price, the FSSAI-style veg, non-veg or egg mark, and a quantity bubble once added
  • Instant search (press / on desktop)
  • Barcode scanning adds packaged drinks and bakery items at once
  • Out-of-stock items are greyed out and can’t be added by mistake

Every way Indian menus are sold

Sizes

Half or Full, Regular or Large, picked in one sheet.

Add-ons with limits

“Choose 1”, “Choose 0 to 3” or “Up to 5”, with the live price on the button.

Kitchen notes

“less spicy”, “Jain, no onion”, printed on the KOT.

Combos

The guest picks one item per slot, such as any pizza plus any drink, with optional extra charges.

Weighed items like sweets, dry fruits and cakes open a weigh dialog that reads a connected scale or takes a typed weight. POS for sweet shops

KOTs that go to the right station

Press KOT and each kitchen station, such as Kitchen, Bar or Tandoor, gets only its own items. Add more items later and only the new ones go. Takeaway and delivery orders send their KOT automatically when billed.

If a sent item has to be cancelled, staff pick a reason and a cancelled KOT prints at that station, so the kitchen stops cooking. A cashier or captain needs a manager PIN for this. See KOT and the kitchen display

Discounts and free items, with a reason every time

Discounts

Percent or amount, with a required reason such as regular customer, staff meal or promotion. Coupon codes like DIWALI10 are checked for dates, minimum bill and usage limit. Cashiers can give up to 10%; more needs a manager PIN.

Complimentary items

Make any line free with a reason. It stays on the bill at ₹0 with no GST, prints “Complimentary” and shows in the Discounts and voids report with its menu value.

Charges

Service charge for dine-in, packaging charge for takeaway and delivery, and a delivery charge, each with its own GST rate.

How Dineligent controls leakage

Bill in one tap, GST worked out for you

When you press Bill, Dineligent:

  • Checks that every item has gone to the kitchen
  • Works out line totals, discount, charges, GST per line (CGST + SGST or IGST) and round-off
  • Gives the bill a gapless GST invoice number from that device’s series, such as C1-2627-000123
  • Prints the tax invoice, with a UPI QR for the exact amount if you switch it on

For business customers, switch on “GST bill for a business” and add the buyer’s GSTIN and legal name. See GST billing in detail

Handles the moments that slow other counters

Split bill

Split by items into up to 6 bills, each with its own GST invoice and no new KOT sent. Or split one bill equally between friends on the payment screen.

Hold and resume

Park an order to serve the next customer, then bring it back.

Void and reopen

Managers can void a bill with a reason or reopen it for a correction. Invoice numbers are never reused, so your series stays complete.

Advance orders

Schedule a birthday cake or party order up to 90 days ahead, take a deposit, and start it when it’s time.

Safe by design

  • Price snapshot: every bill line keeps the name, price and GST at the moment of sale. Changing the menu later never changes a past bill.
  • Crash-safe: every tap is saved on the device. A power cut doesn’t lose a bill.
  • Works offline: billing never waits on the internet. How offline billing works

Restaurant billing questions

Can I bill dine-in, takeaway and delivery from one screen?

Yes. All three order types use the same billing screen, and each can have its own price for the same dish.

Can I split a bill?

Yes. Split by items into up to 6 bills, each with its own GST invoice, or split one bill equally between several people on the payment screen.

Does the KOT go to different kitchen stations?

Yes. Each station, such as Kitchen, Bar or Tandoor, gets only its own items. Later KOTs send only new items.

Can staff give discounts without a manager?

Cashiers can give up to 10% with a reason. Larger discounts, cancelled KOTs and voids need a manager PIN, and every one is recorded.

Does billing work without internet?

Yes. Billing, KOTs, printing and payments all work offline with no time limit, and sync when the internet is back.

Can I take advance orders with a deposit?

Yes. Schedule an order up to 90 days ahead, take a deposit, and it counts towards the final bill.
